$125,000

This historic South Lunenburg farmhouse is an outstanding opportunity for any serious vintage home lover. Most of the original features are intact, including the bay windows, trim, wood floors, witch window, pantry cabinets, screened porch, hardware, and other interesting details. Outside, the house is surrounded by established perennial gardens that perfectly complement the Vermont farmhouse vibe. Despite the need for further cosmetic repairs, many upgrades have been made, including a standby generator, 200 amp electric, pellet stove, metal roof, blown-in insulation, and heating equipment. With 4 bedrooms, a formal dining room, living room, and numerous other eccentric rooms and spaces, there’s no shortage of interior space. The attached garage with walk-up storage above, summer kitchen, and connecting shed provide room for storage or expansion of the finished space. Since it needs paint and some interior renovations, it won’t qualify for low down payment mortgage programs. Great location, just minutes from the Connecticut River, with easy access to Route 2, Lancaster, NH, and St. Johnsbury, VT.
